Hint Hunt- It's fun, It's Indoors and you really gotta use your brain!
So
its winter in Cape Town and we are trying to find activities to do that don’t
involve the beach (because it’s cold) or eating and drinking (‘cos we don’t want
to get fatty), so we decided to try out Hint Hunt at the Biscuit Mill in Woodstock.
We
had heard about it from some friends- they didn't tell us too much about it so
we really had no idea what to expect.
On arrival
you get put into a small room and get your briefing from a video. So this is
what we knew from the briefing- we would get put into a room (no idea how big)
for 1 hour; the aim of the game- to solve clues and to escape the room in as
little time as possible.
Groups
can be between 3 and 5 people; I did it with my sister, my husband and a
friend. Thankfully we didn't fight (As we have been told the game can
bring on some very heated (funny) family fights with all the excitement). There
were however a lot of squeals of excitement, triumph and panic- and we made it
out of the room with 2 minutes to spare.
The
cost ranges depending on group size but is around R135 per person. Book online ahead
of tine at www.hinthunt.co.za and
arrive 15 minutes early.
This
is the most fun we've had (away from wine) in a long time and I would recommend
it to anyone from families to company team building activities.
I can’t
wait for the new ‘Asian Room’ that they are busy putting together!
Remember.
.. Communicate. Look around. Listen. Don’t over-think it.
